Rome wasn’t built in a day, and Ultra’s innovative platform is no exception. Our mission is to create an ecosystem where players can level up their gaming experiences and developers can harness the new opportunities that Ultra’s ecosystem has to offer.

However, these innovations take time to perfect, and we’ve been developing the Ultra platform for several years to ensure it meets expectations. We’re proud to say that we’re now as close as ever to releasing Ultra Games, our digital games store, to the public!

We appreciate all the loyal community members who have supported us so far, as well as those who have taken the time to provide their valuable feedback during Wave 1 and Wave 2 of testing Ultra Games.

Now we’re getting ready to welcome the newest batch of Ultra testers before launch!

Wave 3 will officially start on the 14th of December, so let’s dive into what’s to come!

So, what are the waves that everyone talks about?

Each wave of the closed beta has meant a big step forward towards the public release of Ultra Games. We’ve granted several closed beta users with access to test the platform and send feedback about their experiences. We’ve gathered all the essential feedback to improve the app and develop new functionalities, and now it’s time to release the app to a wider group of players.

At Ultra, we use this development strategy to ensure that the app and infrastructure scale effectively to be later adopted by millions of players.

Wave 1

Wave 1 saw five devoted community members take their first step into the Ultraverse. Their important feedback helped us improve the app during its initial stages.

Wave 2

During this time, we welcomed dozens of new players to Ultra Games. They were selected to test the app after we migrated from Testnet to Mainnet.

This select group of testers also submitted their feedback, which allowed us to continue improving Ultra Games. Their input was vital to test the purchasing flow using FIAT or UOS, as well as exploring new games that we onboarded for the closed beta.

Wave 3

And here we are, at the third and final wave of the Ultra Games closed beta! Now that we have successfully launched the Uniq Marketplace to the public, we’ll start granting access to many more players from the 14th of December. In this critical step, players with access will get to test the newest version of Ultra Games before its public release to ensure we’re scaling effectively.

During Wave 3, tests will:

• Ensure that Ultra Games is easy to browse, use, and functions as expected
• Test speed, storage, and scalability
• Test free-to-play games, including validating the flow for these titles and how it co-exists with paid title flows
• Validate the use of Ultra Games to verify that all integrations meet the highest standard of quality

We’ll be asking players for specific feedback on:

• Their general experience when browsing the Ultra Games app
• Their thoughts on the recently updated game pages
• Confirmation that basic functionality such as buying games works as expected

This time, we’ll be prioritizing Uniq holders during the first week of Wave 3, then pick people who applied through our form.

How to get access to Wave 3 of Ultra Games

There are three ways to be picked among the lucky players that get to test Ultra Games before launch!

Own Uniqs on the Uniq Marketplace

Some Uniqs can unlock Wave 3 access. These include Ready, Set, Go!, Power Up, Ultra Power #4, #5, and #13, Fire Elemental Soul, and Collective Soul Uniqs.

A snapshot for all the Uniqs listed above will be taken on the 5th of December at 4pm UTC. Anyone holding any of these Uniqs at that time will automatically be granted Wave 3 access to Ultra Games on the 14th of December.

What’s new in Wave 3

Even more games!

Wave 3 comes with a whole new bunch of web2 and web3 games for players to try out! You might have guessed some of the games we’ll be adding for this stage of the closed beta from the partners we’ve already announced, but we also have a few surprises in store. We’ll be revealing the games on our Twitter gaming account so follow us to be one of the first to find out what’s coming!

Update for holders of Power Up and Ready, Set, Go! Uniqs

Power Up and Ready, Set, Go! Uniqs holders, we haven’t forgotten about you!

To identify who is already eligible for Wave 3, we’ll be conducting a snapshot of these two Uniqs, alongside the Ultra’s Power and Elemental Soul Uniqs, on the 5th of December.

Since Power Up and Ready, Set, Go! Uniq holders have the opportunity to gift their access pass to a friend, we’ll email these holders once the snapshot is taken to confirm their status for Wave 3. If you wish to claim the access pass for yourself, you won’t need to reply to this email, but if you choose to give it to a friend, you will need to follow the steps that will be outlined.

Please note that anyone from Wave 1 and 2, regardless of if they have a Uniq that grants closed beta access or not, will be automatically enrolled into Wave 3.

Once we’ve confirmed which holders would like to keep their access passes and which ones would like to gift it to someone else, we’ll update our registries, whitelist everyone who’s eligible, and get them ready to access Wave 3 on the 14th of December!
