Inferiority complex dates back to the psychologist Alfred Adler in 1907 when explaining the lack of motivation for individuals to achieve their goals, who defined the “inferiority complex” by saying: “an individual’s feeling of status and that he is inferior to others; as a result of organic, moral, social or material insufficiency, real or imagined.”
