How a modern eCommerce looks in today’s world (Part 1)
It is a time when everywhere we can see eCommerce is being used especially during covid19 and post covid19. If we search in google we will find many terms(buzz words ) related to eCommerce like B2C, C2B , C2C , B2B, etc. Those are meant for business functionality understanding . From a technical perspective also there are multiple terms e.g. headless commerce.
So in today’s post, I will not go into detail about understanding all eCommerce components as each component has lots to offer and has obvious complexity. Instead, we will try to see a sample retail eCommerce architecture in the AWS Cloud platform to have an idea of what it looks like and how the components can communicate with each other. (Though you might think retail and eCommerce are same , in reality, they are not fully the same as retail can happen in many ways like brick and mortar style, person to person, etc. On the other hand , refers to commercial transactions that are primarily made electronically through the Internet.)
Let me assure you that even through the above architecture diagram is in AWS , it can be achieved/implemented in any other public cloud as most of the services used here are pretty standard ones. I did not describe what symbol means which service as they are self-explanatory and mentioning them will make the diagram a bit clumsy . But I will surely touch base on those in the second part of the article.
Till then , happy learning :)
