In a stunning upset, Saudi Arabia has beaten Argentina 2–1 in the World Cup 2022 on Day 3. This is one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history, with Argentina being one of the favorites in the tournament and Saudi Arabia being one of the lowest-ranked teams. The game began with a goal from Messi when he scored a penalty. In the beginning of the second half, Saudi player Sally A-Shari scored within 3 minutes of the second half, making it 1–1. 5 minutes later, midfielder Salam Al Dosari scored their second goal. So Saudi Arabia won 2–1, breaking Argentina’s winning streak of 36 matches. This is an incredible upset and will surely have ripple effects throughout the World Cup.
